City Council Minutes <br /> October 3, 2006 <br /> Page 3 of 10 <br /> --------------------------- <br /> Mr. Leege submitted a letter to the Council regarding his request to be <br /> credited $199.10 for the months of June through August due to excessive <br /> sewer bills from watering during summer months. <br /> The Council discussed both requests. It was the consensus of the Council <br /> that the City could offer no refund on these requests. The Council noted <br /> that a policy change has been implemented to handle these issues <br /> beginning next year. <br /> 6.1. Brainerd Lakes Chapter of Muskies, Inc. <br /> The Clerk noted that the Brainerd Lakes Chapter of Muskies is proposing <br /> to stock Muskies in Gull Lake. She indicated that this would affect Pequot <br /> Lakes as Upper Cullen Lake is part of the Gull Lake chain of lakes. <br /> 6.2. Request for City Support of Housing Plan for Peguot Lakes HRA <br /> Sharon Thurlow, HRA Director informed the Council that the HRA's <br /> application for The Community Assistantship has been accepted. This <br /> application will help the City in its efforts to complete a housing plan that <br /> will provide a database of variables such as age, condition, owner- <br /> occupied or rental, and will be tied to the City's Comprehensive Plan. Ms. <br /> Thurlow noted that the program will cost about $6,000 and indicated that <br /> the HRA has received a Minnesota Housing partnership Community <br /> Housing Grant in the amount of$3,000. Sharon Thurlow requested the <br /> City's support and any monetary assistance that could be provided. <br /> MAYOR MALECHA MOVED TO GIVE THE HRA $1,000 TOWARD THE <br /> PROJECT AS THE PROJECT WILL BENEFIT THE CITY AND THAT <br /> THE MONEY COME FROM THE 2006 COUNCIL CONTINGENCY <br /> FUND. COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 6-1. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER OPPOSED. <br /> 7.1. Rezoninq Request— Medium Density to downtown Mixed Use — St. Alice <br /> Church <br /> 7.2. Rezoninq to Shoreline Commercial and Shoreline Residential — Greden, <br /> Kellogg, and Calhoun <br /> 7.3. Rezoning from Forest to Forest Management, J. Brunes <br /> 7.4. Rezoning to Forest Management, Agricultural, and Rural Residential — <br /> Moberg <br />
