MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> Sheila Haverkamp reviewed the proposal for 2006 services. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO CONTRACT WITH BRAINERD <br /> LAKES AREA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (BLADC) FOR 2006 <br /> AT A COST OF $5,775. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 6. Planning and Zoning Report <br /> Monthly report by Dawn Bittner. <br /> 6.1. Consider Moratorium on Extractive Use <br /> The Council reviewed the proposed ordinance that places a moratorium <br /> on extractive uses, gravel pits, hot mix asphalt plants and rock crushing in <br /> the City. <br /> Mayor Malecha opened the public hearing on this ordinance. There being <br /> no one for or against the ordinance, Mayor Malecha closed the public <br /> hearing. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 06- <br /> 02, PLACING A MORATORIUM ON EXTRACTIVE USES, GRAVEL <br /> PITS, HOT MIX ASPHALT PLANTS, AND ROCK CRUSHING OR <br /> SIMILAR LAND USES WITHIN THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 6.2. Ordinance Amendment— Recreational Vehicle Resort Overlay District <br /> Chuck Marohn reviewed the proposed ordinance amendment. The <br /> proposed ordinance would create an overlay zone for recreational vehicle <br /> resorts. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GREER MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 06-01 <br /> AMENDING SECTION 6 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE CREATING AN <br /> OVERLAY ZONE FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLE RESORTS AND <br /> REVISING THE LAND USE MATRIX. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br />
