City Council Minutes <br /> January 3, 2006 <br /> Page 10 <br /> ---------------------------- <br /> The Clerk presented the information to the Council regarding a storm <br /> water utility drainage fee being charged to all residents who were in Sibley <br /> Township. The Council requested the Clerk to bring this back to the <br /> Council for review at the February meeting. <br /> 11.1. Nagel Road Right-of-Way <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO DESIGNATE $25,000 OF THE <br /> 2005 YEAR-END GENERAL FUND BALANCE FROM THE ROADS <br /> FUND TO BE USED TOWARD THE NAGEL ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY <br /> PURCHASE. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> Council Member Nagel indicated that he is reluctant to pursue the Nagel <br /> Road purchase. Council Member Nagel explained the issue of <br /> surrounding property and the possibility of preserving the property as <br /> natural forest. <br /> 11.2. Request to Advertise for Maintenance Worker <br /> �.. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO AUTHORIZE STAFF TO <br /> ADVERTISE FOR THE MAINTENANCE WORKER POSITION. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br /> Jack Schmidt questioned why the City is hiring another maintenance <br /> person. The Council indicated that the position is warranted due to the <br /> work load. <br /> Jack Schmidt indicated that the sidewalks in town are not being shoveled. <br /> He requested the City to ensure that this is taken care of. <br /> 12. Engineer's Report <br /> Tim Houle spoke about the following issues: <br /> CIP Program — Mr. Houle indicated that he is working with the City Clerk <br /> on coordinating the process for putting together a capital improvement <br /> plan. He indicated that he will have a proposal for the Council at a future <br /> date. <br /> Mapping—The City Engineer indicated that he is working with Chuck <br /> �.. Marohn and the City on a mapping proposal for the City. <br />
