City Council Minutes <br /> January 3, 2006 <br /> Page 11 <br /> ---------------------------- <br /> MnDOT—The City Engineer indicated that a meeting was held with <br /> MnDOT to review the proposed Highway 371 project with Jim Hallgren <br /> who will be taking Tim Bray's place due to Tim Bray having been <br /> deployed. Mr. Houle suggested a road planning workshop with the City <br /> Council sometime in February. <br /> Grant—The City Engineer indicated that the Mayor and Clerk have <br /> requested his assistance in putting together a Transportation <br /> Enhancement Grant for$2,000,000. He noted that the grant is for a <br /> pedestrian/bicycle underpass under Highway 371 and enhancements <br /> along the highway. The County Board must sponsor the grant due to the <br /> City being under 5,000 population. Mr. Houle indicated that the County <br /> Board adopted a resolution indicating it would be the sponsoring agent for <br /> the grant. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER MOVED THAT THE CITY APPLY FOR <br /> THE TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT GRANT. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7- <br /> 0. <br /> 13. Other Business <br /> There was no other business. <br /> 14. Adjournment <br /> There being no further business, COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER <br /> MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION.
