City Council Minutes <br /> June 6, 2006 <br /> Page 9 of 12 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> APPROVAL OF THE CITY COUNCIL." COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. THE AMENDMENT CARRIED. <br /> Council Member Greer suggested that a time limit be included in the by- <br /> laws for instances when a Council Member requests an action by Staff. <br /> Discussion was held regarding the fact that all actions would require <br /> different time limits and that the by-laws may not be the appropriate place <br /> for this type of item. <br /> It was the consensus of the Council to have the Clerk list action items <br /> requested by Council consensus or Council motion at a Council meeting in <br /> the Council minutes of that meeting. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 10.4. Council Member Request for Information <br /> Council Member Pfeiffer has requested that information be placed in the <br /> newspaper to ask citizen input on the traffic congestion in town. It was the <br /> consensus of the Council that the Mayor would include this in the Mayor's <br /> column in the Echo. <br /> 11. Maintenance Supervisor's Report <br /> Report by Mike Loven. <br /> 11.1. Recycling <br /> Mike Loven informed the Council that North Country Roll Off is increasing <br /> their price for recycling due to fuel prices. He informed the Council that <br /> Nisswa Sanitation submitted a quote of$600 per month for the same <br /> service as North Country Roll Off at $969 per month. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK MOVED TO CONTRACT <br /> WITH NISSWA SANITATION FOR RECYCLING SERVICE. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7- <br /> 0. <br /> 11.2. Janitorial Services <br /> Mike Loven informed the Council that Marlyn and Janet Wedan have <br /> given their notice that they will no longer be cleaning city hall. Mike <br /> indicated that he received two bids for these services. <br />
