City Council Minutes <br /> September 5, 2006 <br /> Page 8of11 <br /> ---------------------------- <br /> 9.2. Sewer Amendment to Accommodate Summer Watering <br /> Brett Twardy presented the Council with a summer water/sewer fee policy <br /> that would more accurately reflect the sewer usage by eliminating the <br /> outside water usage that is not contributing to the wastewater collection <br /> system. This will be done by averaging water usage and applying the <br /> average to the summer months of June through August. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO ADOPT THE SUMMER <br /> WATER/SEWER FEE POLICY. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Ryan had some questions regarding the formula and how <br /> to deal with seasonal residents. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 10. Police Monthly Report <br /> Report by Chief Braam. Chief Braam noted that he would be working on <br /> an ordinance to address the Jake Braking issue. <br /> 12.1. Gravdahl Road <br /> Council Member Sjoblad noted that the City has received an appraisal for <br /> the Swenson property located on Gravdahl Drive. Gravdahl Drive lies <br /> entirely within the Swenson property. The City plans to improve Gravdahl <br /> Drive which will make the lots owned by Swenson unbuildable. The City <br /> would like to negotiate the purchase of the property from Swenson for <br /> storm water retention, ditching, and snow storage. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO OFFER THE PROPERTY <br /> OWNER THE APPRAISED VALUE OF THE PROPERTY. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> There were several residents in the audience regarding this issue. <br /> Residents spoke to the issue of dust from the current condition of the <br /> road. The residents were generally in favor of paving Gravdahl Road. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 11. City Clerk's Report <br /> `,, Report by City Clerk Peine. <br />
