June 28, 2006 Page 2 of 6
Pequot Lakes
South Oak Street Proposal
Tasks Amount
I. Field Survey& Utility Locations
After appropriate office research, a field survey will be completed to provide
topographical information as well as utility locations. $7,500
This survey will need to extend outside the project area to obtain
information that will relate to the storm drainage system design.
II. Storm Drainage Preliminary Design
Layout a preliminary storm drainage collection system along with
appropriate discharge/infiltration basin locations.
Perform a preliminary hydrologic and hydraulic design for a 5-year design
storm. Check overflow routes and basin design for a 100-year design $6,800
storm.
Assist the City in determining possible locations, volumes needed, and
resulting areas/properties required for the infiltration basins.
Estimate the costs of the collections stem and the infiltration basins.
III. Feasibility Report
Prepare topographic maps of existing conditions from the survey data.
Determine with the Council the assessment policy for this project.
Prepare the feasibility report, including an opinion of probable construction $6,700
cost, based on the preliminary layout improvements.
This Feasibility Report is not only required for the special assessment
process but it gives the City an idea of cost so that financial/funding
arrangements can begin and any adjustments can be made prior to final
design.
CAMy Documents\City Clerk\Engineering\South Oak Street\Pequot Lakes-South Oak Street-Proposal-062806(2).doc
