i
The total cost for these elements is $32,800. If the Council
authorizes this work, I would propose that $12,000 be
funded from the Storm Water fund and the remaining from
Roads and Streets.
Council Action Requested: Council decision whether to
authorize the preliminary services from WSN for the
Government Drive Project.
11.2. Storm Water Fee Structure
At the February, 2006 City Council meeting, the Council
discussed the storm water issue.
"Tim Houle reviewed the storm water utility drainage fee. He noted that the
fee is currently being charged only to residents who were not part of Sibley
Township. He indicated that the Council has requested staff to bring this issue
to the Council to determine if the fee should be charged to all city residents as
this is what the ordinance currently states. The Clerk noted that the City
Attorney has indicated that the ordinance does include the annexed Sibley
Township area. Tim Houle reviewed the current fee structure. The Council
felt that a worksession should be held to discuss how to fairly charge property
owners for this fee. A date was not set for this worksession."
Council should set a date for a worksession to talk about
this issue.
Council Action Requested: Council motion to set a
special Council worksession to review storm water fees and
implement a fee for all City residents.
