is needed. The Silent Auction fundraiser will be scheduled for the third
Saturday of October, October 18, 2006. Nancy will check with Deacon's
Lodge to confirm the date. Shari Wilson has agreed to help with decorating
and baskets.
Old Business:
John Longnecker will be meeting with Bob Perkins and the TDS
technician on Monday, April 24, 2006, to discuss the web page. Nancy
reported that Nathan from Cascade Computers feels our software will not
transfer materials information to a web site. It would be best to have a
"click on" informing people to either e-mail or call the library so a volunteer
could check on desired materials. After discussion, the Board feels that this
is the best course. John and Doris Longnecker have offered to purchase the
printing unit for check-out. The Board stated their appreciation for this
generous gift. The new shelving unit has arrived and is in use. The top
shelf, however, is missing due to the wrong color being sent. This bill has
not yet been paid. The City Council passed the Resolution last month
regarding Library Board members: we now only need a majority of Board
Members residing within the city.
New Business:
Nancy Adams will organize a fundraising letter campaign for June
similar to last years.
The next meeting, May 16, 2006, will also be our Annual Meeting as
required by the State of Minnesota. This meeting will be at the usual time of
6:30 p.m.
Lydia Loven moved that the meeting be adjourned; Dave Anderson
seconded. Motion carried.
