The recent natural gas leak at the high school was discussed. Our old gas meter did not
work. We could not locate the leak. X-cel Energy was at the scene and located a leak.
School was shut down after lunch while repairs were being done.
The Chief reminded us to not take these frequent gas leaks as just another routine call.
They can blow up, as one recently did in Parkers Prairie.
We received a thank you card from Jeremie and his family thanking everyone for their
support. His daughter had an infection on her spine and is doing OK, but will require lots
of treatment.
There was a thank you notice in the paper from the Marcum family for their recent house
fire.
We congratulate Jeremie tonite for his recent community service award for his work as a
First Rsponder.
There will be an organization meeting at the fire hall on January 3rd to establish the class
schedule for Fire fighter H classes. We have about 10 fire fighters interested. Classes will
be held at the Breezy station.
We owe Ideal fire for 200 chairs. Evenson motioned we pay them $400.00, second by
Varilek, motion passed.
The Firehouse software service agreement is due to be renewed at the end of the year.
The fee is $595.00 and is OK to pay.
Our new gas monitor should be here any time. The bad air mask has been repaired.
Tom is taking several air tanks to Rice on Friday to be hydro-tested. Tank#2 needs the
valve repaired.
The Ice Fest committee will meet Monday at 7:00 am at Munchies at Breezy. We need
new ideas.
