Delinquent Utilitv Bills <br />The Council has been provided with a list of delinquent utility bills. Statute <br />allows cities to certify past due utility amounts to taxes. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO CERTIFY THE <br />DELINQUENT UTILITY CHARGES TO TAXES FOR COLLECTION. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br />5.3. Brown Water Action Plan <br />Lee Bundy, Pine River Area Sanitary District (PRASD) presented an <br />update on the brown water issue. He explained to the Council the <br />strategies that he is using to try to resolve the issue. Mr. Bundy requested <br />the Council to approve the purchase of Carus 8100 and the equipment to <br />feed the product. He noted that he would only use this method if another <br />solution cannot be reached. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF THE <br />� CARUS 8100 AND THE EQUIPMENT TO FEED THE PRODUCT. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />The Council stated that if the chemical is used, the public must be fully <br />informed that the chemical is not harmful. Council Member Sjoblad and <br />Council Member Akerson concurred that they would prefer not to add any <br />chemical if there is another solution. Council Member Ryan questioned the <br />cost for the addition of the Carus 8100. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />7. Fire Chief's Reaort <br />Report received by Council. <br />7.1. Fire Deqartment Bv-laws <br />Chief Nelson presented the Fire Department By-laws for Council review. <br />Chief Nelson stated that the By-laws have been totally re-written. <br />� <br />
