195. This decision was based on a review of the "State Job
Match" description of the position. The main reason for the
change was due to the Office Manager's duties relating to
an increase in police personnel, increased duties, and
dealing with many different agencies.
POINTS STEP 1 STEP 6 STEP 12
186 (existing) 13.36 15.12 17.53
195 (proposed) 13.65 15.45 17.92
Part Time Patrol Officers
The Committee discussed the issue of part time police
officers being included in the pay plan. The concern is that
the officers will be earning a much higher wage than part
time officers in surrounding communities. The Committee
is recommending that the Council remove the part time
Police Officer from the pay structure; to maintain the wage
of $14.75, and that future increases are based on
recommendations from the Chief of Police.
Outside Equity
The committee completed a market comparison to compare
external equity with other positions that are of comparable
size to Pequot Lakes. The Committee is making no
recommendations for changes at this time in regard to
points or wages due to external equity.
Pay Structure
