A motion was made by John Derksen, seconded by Tom Adams,to approve the Highway <br /> 371 Alternate Route Study Group Report, with clarification of the items in Part I, and <br /> pass on to the City Council with the recommendation evident in the summary. <br /> Discussion: <br /> Mr. Woog stated the following: "I would like to say thanks to the City Council,to the <br /> Planning Commission, and to the community at large and to all those who gave testimony <br /> who were asked to. There was a lot of technical information required that will have <br /> significant impact. There is no doubt it has been exhaustive to our community and to <br /> take it with the weight it carries and the divisive nature of the pro s. I know there are <br /> people on both sides of the issue that have very strong feelings ' i r case. I know <br /> there is another piece of information the City Council is wo. on with the Chamber of <br /> Commerce and I know they have concluded one portion survey. I would <br /> like to have that stated so that we know that the soone the C '1 can come to a <br /> decision and if Mn/DOT can get their act together ere wil me sort of <br /> decision made for the community so that they c an, so that the co ty can plan, <br /> so they know with certainty how to plan for tore gr , whether i siness <br /> related or community related types of activities. <br /> We do appreciate all the work and a put in not spec ly to the Planning <br /> Commission and to the City Council, as obviousl p , but to the public <br /> and those who took part in this whether ult for the a here—it was difficult <br /> to sit in meetings sometimes,but we wan d to oces t was clear and able to <br /> be followed along with th blic and I thi ave at. We can't treat this <br /> lightly and we realize a included rein is v important data for this <br /> community. There have been 2 requests for variances over <br /> the past several months for accessory structure height. The Planning Commission would <br /> like to discuss the following at the next meeting: <br /> 1. Increase height for structures that are not occupied, such as equipment. <br /> 2.
