City Clerk's Report <br /> Report received by Council. <br /> 10.1. Update on Economic Development Committee <br /> The City Clerk provided an update on the Economic Development <br /> Committee. She noted that the committee is working on goals for the <br /> Committee and will be providing the Council with an update at the <br /> November Council meeting. <br /> 10.2. Job Evaluation Committee Recommendations <br /> The City Clerk noted that the Job Evaluation Committee has reviewed all <br /> City positions to ensure that job points equate to the job duties of the <br /> position. She noted that the Committee completed a market comparison to <br /> compare external equity with other cities of comparable size and is <br /> recommending no change in regard to points or wages due to external <br /> equity. The Clerk noted that the Committee recommended increasing the <br /> job points of the Office Assistant position and the Officer Manager <br /> position. She also noted that the Committee recommended removing the <br /> part time police officers from the pay structure in order to maintain a <br /> comparable wage with surrounding communities. <br /> The City Clerk noted that the Committee is recommending that the Council <br /> consider authorizing a 2.5% cost of living adjustment for all employees. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING: <br /> 1. A CHANGE IN JOB POINTS FOR OFFICE ASSISTANT FROM <br /> 141 TO 155 <br /> 2. A CHANGE IN JOB POINTS FOR OFFICE MANAGER FROM 186 <br /> TO 195 <br /> 3. TO REMOVE THE POSITION OF PART TIME POLICE OFFICER <br /> FROM THE PAY STRUCTURE; TO MAINTAIN THE WAGE OF $14.75 <br /> PER HOUR; AND THAT FUTURE INCREASES ARE BASED ON <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE CHIEF OF POLICE <br /> 4. TO AMEND THE STRUCTURE FOR THE POSITIONS OF <br /> OFFICER MANAGER AND OFFICE ASSISTANT <br />
