PEQUOT LAKES PARK COMMISSION THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2012 � TRAILSIDE PARK CITY HALL Members Present: Chair Pete Clement, Commissioners Karen Ettesvold, Deana Doughty, Jeff Bruch and Patty Bonicatto Also Present: Dawn Bittner, Zoning Administrator Call Meetina to Order The meeting was called to order at 4:04 p.m. by Chair Clement. 2. 8/9/2012 Park Commission Minutes It was pointed out that Item 6, Master Park Plan, the vote'should read "MOTION CARRIED 4 — 1". COMMISSIONER BRUCH MOVED TO APPROVE THE 8/9/2012 PARK COMMISSION MINUTES, AS CORRECTED. COMMISSIONER ETTESVOLD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 3. Trailside Park — Bushes on Northeast Corner The Commission discussed removing all or part of the large bushes along the north end of the DNR Trail. Removing the bushes would open site lines along`the Trail as well as reduce screening to businesses. The bushes are also colorful in the fall. COMMISSIONER BRUCH MOVED TO REMOVE ALL THE BUSHES ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE TRAIL AND TO KEEP THREE BUSHES ALONG THE EAST SIDE, BEGINNING WITH BUSH #2 AT THE NORTH END, KEEPING EVERY OTHER BUSH FOR A TOTAL OF THREE (3) BUSHES. COMMISSIONER CLEMENT SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION FAILED:2 — 2- 1. COMMISSIONERS BRUCH AND CLEMENT VOTED AYE; COMMISSIONERS ETTESVOLD AND BONICATTO VOTED NAY; COMMISSIONER DOUGHTY ABSTAINED. COMMISSIONER ETTESVOLD MOVED TO KEEP BUSH #2 ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE TRAIL, REMOVING THE REMAINDER OF THE BUSHES ON THE WEST SIDE AND ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE TRAIL TO KEEP BUSH #2 AT THE NORTH END AND REMOVE EVERY OTHER BUSH KEEPING A TOTAL OF THREE (3) BUSHES. COMMISSIONER BRUCH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION �- CARRIED 5 — 0. The Commissioners moved to the south end of the Park near the Chamber building as there are a number of the same bushes there.
