City Council Minutes
July 3, 2007
----------------------------
City's long range planning process, and to review the requested
expansion with the building committee.
Nancy Adams indicated that she would prefer to see an expansion take
place within a one to two year time frame.
6. Planning and Zoning Report
Report by Dawn Bittner accepted by Council.
6.1. Letter from Kevin Nelson
Dawn Bittner noted that Kevin Nelson has requested that the Council
refund his permit fee to construct a garage. She noted that he had been in
violation of the zoning ordinance and therefore was not allowed to build
until the violation was corrected and further that the permit has now
expired. Dawn noted that the violation has recently been corrected.
It was the consensus of the Council to allow an extension of the permit
and if this is not acceptable to the applicant, he should then request the
.. Council to consider a refund.
6.2. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE
MOTION.
Council Member Nagel stated that he is aware of recent legislation relating
to this issue and suggested that the ordinance be reviewed by the City
Attorney for consistency with State law.
COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO AMEND THE MOTION
SUBJECT TO THE CITY ATTORNEY'S REVIEW OF THE ORDINANCE
AMENDMENT.
