They are forwarding you four recommendations at this
time.
i. Ordinance Amendment regarding Sign Concept Plan Review. City of
Pequot Lakes, Applicant. Application 12-41i1. The proposed
amendment allows property owners the ability to increase the number, size or
height of signage on their property in the CommerciaUIndustrial districts and the
Residential district with approval from the Planning Commission via sign concept
plan. The proposed amendment does not require the property owner to go
through the conditional use permit process for the submittal of sign concept plans
as the current ordinance does. The amendment does not allow property owners to
obtain signage that is "not allowed" by the ordinance (e.g. digital signs). With the
proposed amendment, if a sign concept plan is submitted for a residential
property, the City shall notice all property owners within 350' of the subject
property.
The Planning Commission is recommending the proposed ordinance
amendment be approved.
a. Ordinance Amendment regarding Appeals Process. City of Pequot
Lakes, Applicant. Application i2-4i3i. The ordinance currently does not
have a deadline for appeals of the decisions by the Board of Adjustment, Planning

WWW.COMMUNITYGROWTH.COM WWW.STRONGTOWNS.ORG
