On March 9th,for preventative maintenance, Lance and I jetted from MH#30(by
the school) all the way up to MH#76 (by Thurlow's). This length of line needs to be
cleaned more often due to the improper grade of the line. After that,we flushed the MH
at Bruce Peterson's with the tanker again.
March 120',there was a sewer back-up at 3864 West Grove. The sewer main had
frozen up, so Lance and I jetted the line and broke it loose. Luckily, the owners had a lift
pump so nothing ended up in their home. These frozen lines are due to low flow and
shallow manholes. I'm keeping a closer watch on them now.
March 13th,Lance and I jetted from Thurlow's to the U.B.C. Lift Station. This
line has problems due to improper grade and roots. By jetting and adding the foaming
root killer, I believe we can keep it flowing. It's an area we check daily to avoid any
problems.
March 21", Lance and I added some L.S. Cleaner/Degreaser to the Main L.S. This
helps clean up the L.S. as well as the force main going to the sewer ponds.
March 26th, Corky Smith delivered the spare L.S. Pump for the Trailside Estates
Development.
March 29th,we received a Certificate of Commendation from the MPCA for
outstanding operation, maintenance and management of our wastewater treatment
system.
OTHER:
March Is'and 2°d, I helped plow snow again using the white truck.
March 7'and 8"I went to the MRWA Conference in St. Cloud. March 5th,I attended a
Safety Meeting in Nisswa that went over workplace safety, job hazard analysis, and
IN, hazardous material information.
