AGENDA ITEM #10.2. <br /> REPORT TO <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Date: February 6, 2007 <br /> Subject: Water/Wastewater Department Changes <br /> Report: City Staff(Mike Loven, Tina Nolden, and Sandy <br /> Peine) and the Council Liaison (Cathy Malecha) for the <br /> Water/Wastewater Department have been meeting for the <br /> past couple of months to discuss the restructuring of the <br /> Department. The Water/Wastewater Department has gone <br /> from two full time employees (Water/Wastewater <br /> Supervisor and a Water/Wastewater Operator) to one <br /> employee. Tina Nolden has been operating the department <br /> with the assistance of the Street Department and an <br /> employee of the Pine River Area Sanitary District. <br /> The recommendation by the staff and liaison is that the two <br /> departments (Street and Water/Wastewater) assist each <br /> other in certain duties. Tina will hold the licenses for the <br /> water and wastewater operations and basically being the <br /> manager of both departments. Mike Loven will offer <br /> assistance to Tina in the form of Capital Planning and labor <br /> from the Street Department employees when necessary, and <br />
