4. PERFORMANCE REVIEWS <br />Policy Statement <br />The City of Pequot Lakes has determined that a Performance Assessment <br />process is needed to ensure that employees have a good perspective on their <br />personal job performance and where improvements are needed; there is a <br />process to provide the needed improvements. <br />Annual Review <br />All employees of the City of Pequot Lakes will have their job performance <br />reviewed in the prescribed manner at least once every calendar year. The <br />�ge�supervisor will provide the employee with a two week advance <br />notice of the review session. The review will be based upon the employee's <br />Job Description and any goals set from the prior year's review. The results <br />of the review will be noted in a prescribed format and the employee will be <br />given a copy of this report. <br />Operating Procedure <br />Forms will be created that will provide structure to the review process. <br />11/1i1)1(IRAHf�� Supervisors will have the option to modify these documents to <br />best fit the nature of the individual's position. Copies of all review <br />documents will, after signature by � the ��a�Supervisor, Council <br />Liaison and the employee, shall be retained in the employee's personnel <br />file. Employees will be given a copy of this report. Employees will be asked <br />to sign the review document to acknowledge that they have seen the <br />materials. This is not an agreement to the report. Employees will be entitled <br />to prepare a statement regarding the review; which will be attached to the <br />review documents. Supervisors�a��age�� are encouraged to review the <br />current Job Description with the employee and where there are changes in <br />the duties, these should be noted. When there are significant changes, the <br />revised Job Description should be submitted to the Job Evaluation <br />Committee for possible Job Point revisions. <br />Under the Open Meeting law, the City Council may close a meeting to <br />evaluate the performance of an individual subject to its authority.
