Pay Structure <br />A copy of the current pay structure including all steps will be included as an <br />attachment to this policy manual and will be available for review in the City <br />Clerks office. <br />Comparable Worth <br />Subject to Minnesota Statutes, Section 179A.25 but not withstanding any <br />other law to the contrary, the City shall establish equitable compensation <br />relationships as prescribed by Minn. Stat. 471.991 to 471.999. Thereafter= <br />compensation of each class of city positions shall be fixed in compliance <br />with the provisions of those statutes. <br />Job Descriptions: The City of Pequot Lakes will maintain records of Job <br />Titles and compensation by position and/or job class, job descriptions for <br />each regular job class, and other appropriate information. A classification is <br />a group of positions sharing common duties and requirements. Positions <br />within a class are assigned the same title and job points. New positions can <br />be developed as needed but shall be approved by the City Council in the <br />budget process,—or as needed prior to filling the position. <br />A job description shall be prepared by the department head= with �l�e <br />concurrence from the City Council liaison, for regular full-time and part- <br />time positions. Each description shall include; title, department, supervisor's <br />title, statement of position duties and responsibilities and specific statement <br />of qualifications required to perform the essential requirements of the <br />position. <br />A current job description will be provided to each employee. Department <br />heads are responsible for maintaining and revising job descriptions as <br />necessary to accurately describe the duties and responsibilities for which <br />their employees will be held accountable during their upcoming performance <br />reviews.
