Staff to acquire more information and report back to the Planning Commission in 2 months. Mr. Williams stated that Section 12.1 of the Ordinance states"upon conviction". A motion was made by John Derksen, seconded by Tom Adams, directing staff to put together a fine structure for zoning violations for the City Council to review. After discussion,Mr. Derksen withdrew his motion and Mr. Adams withdrew his second. The Planning Commission directed Staff to work with the Police Chief and make recommendations on the Fee Schedule and possible Ordinance amendments. Administrative Fines: Discussed above. Mark Schoeb—Temporary Structure: Staff explained that Mr. Schoeb would like to place a temporary office at the site of his used car lot until the construction of his permanent office is complete. A temporary structure existing longer than 14 days must be reviewed by the Planning Commission. He is requesting permission to use the temporary office from August 15 to November 15, 2006. A motion was made by Mark Hallan, seconded by Tom Adams, to permit the use of a temporary structure to be used as an office be limited to 500 square feet in size. All members voted"aye". Motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: Downtown Plan: Mr. Marohn stated that the text is being edited and will be forwarded to the City Council in August. Robert's Rules: The Planning Commission discussed the format that the City Council uses. Making a motion before discussion is not as inviting to the public in a public hearing. The DMU rezoning will be on the next months Agenda. Extractive Use Overlay District: Terry Curtis had requested to be notified when this would be discussed.
