WIDSETH
SMITH
`-- M EMO jvOLTING
Date: July 28, 2006
To: Dan Helbling, Chuck Marohn, Tim Houle
From: Tim Moore
Cc: Jeff Miller
Project Name: RV Resort Vilage at the Preserve
Project No.:
Subject: MnDot Meeting 7.27
My understanding of what transpired at the conference 7.27.06 at the Baxter MnDot offices is as
follows:
1. Dave Buss, MnDot engineering specialist (828-2473)will arrange for a MnDot traffic count at
the intersection of 371 and CSAH 168/107 early during the week of July 31St
2. Dave will analyze the results to determine if the threshold for a left turn lane has been met.
3. Dave will forward the results to Tim Houle, who will, if necessary, conduct a study
augmenting Dave's report with information the City has on traffic counts for the proposed RV
Park and the Crafter Outlet Mall. This study, if necessary, will be forwarded to MnDot and is
to be paid for by Dan Helbling.
4. MnDot, through Tom Dumont's office (MnDot Engineer Princ 320-223-6540) will apprise the
City of it's findings.
5. Once findings have been determined, another meeting with the City and other interested
parties will be held to scope out cost-sharing & phasing of any planned improvements.
Let me know if I've missed anything. I also understand that as a result of this meeting that City
staff will recommend that a finding of no significant impact for the EAW for this project be
forwarded to the Pequot P&Z commission.
CA)ocuments and Settings\dawnb\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK13D\7 27 06 MnDot mtg memo.doc
7804 Industrial Park Road■PO Box 2720■ Baxter,MN 56425-2720■TEL:218.829.5117■FAX:218.829.2517■WEB:www.wsn-mn.com
ENGINEERING ARCHITECTURE LAND SURVEYING ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AA/EEO
