City of Pequot Lakes <br />December 23, 2013 <br />WIDSETH <br />,SMITH <br />NOLTING <br />Having served the City for many year•s, we are familiar with the staff, Council, community, and <br />issues facing Pequot Lakes. We know how the City prefers to see projects organized, what thc City <br />staff can do, and what they need our assistance on. <br />With this above familiarity, we believe we can be efficient and economical with only those <br />services that the City needs. <br />➢ Broad Range of Resources - Including Funding Assistance - That are Close and Cost-Effective <br />It is not only the knowledge and experience of Tim and Mike that you are acquiring in selecting <br />WSN as your City Engineer. We have approximately 60 employees in our BrainerdBaxter office <br />with a total of about 180 employees in our Greater Minnesota offices. <br />They include architects, civil engineers, funding assistance experts, electrical and mechanical <br />engineers, environmental professionals, information technology specialists, marketing personnel, <br />surveyors, and technicians in all of these areas. <br />We have people that are under 1/2 hour away that can provide their expertise — even with today's <br />communication technology, there is no substitute for face-to-face assistance. No other firm can <br />offer this number of employees in these varied disciplines this close to benefit the City. <br />➢ Part of this Area <br />Unlike many of our competitors in this area, we are not a firm of regional offices that reports back <br />to a headquarters in another part of the state. <br />Our employees and their families live, work, go to school, recreate, and pay taxes in this area. Any <br />City tax dollars that are used for our services go right back into this area of the State. <br />As in past years, when a specific project is defined, we will provide a proposal with our tasks and costs. <br />We know there are many factors in choosing a City Engineer.
