LAKES AREA CRAFTER'S MARKET
J
The Lakes Area Crafter's Market will be a multi-use facility selling o "hand
made" in America products with boat repair and related functi ns in the off ason. The
Crafter's Market also leads into related functions for our ister co any, "Viking
Business Forms & Specialties." (Such as logo embroidery, logo printing, logo pad
printing, showroom & office utilization.) As you can see from the pro-forma, the
Crafter's Market is the dominant financial reason to justify the investment. The other
entities come along with minimal overhead. We think this makes a good year-round
package for both labor and facilities.
The Crafter's Market will employ mostly summer season employees for the
consignment sales concession area and the craft area logo embroidery and pad printing.
The boat repair and winterization will need 2 full time skilled employees to begin
with in the fall and spring to take-in, winterize, and distribute boats. Since we do not
envision heavy tear-down mechanical engine work, this will create summer and winter
spare time for these 2 full time employees. We are going to become a distributor of cute
& functional doll houses, playhouses, and cedar playground kids play sets. These
products can be seen at Plants & Things along Highway 10 in Ramsey. These 2
`— employees will reproduce 2 or 3 of the cutest houses in the utility building wood shop to
provide a year round, interesting, and functional employment at a decent wage rate so we
don't continually loose our 2 semi-skilled employees.
We envision Viking Business Forms & Specialties will grow to 4-6 salespeople in
central Minnesota, selling mostly advertising specialty products; some of which we will
eventually produce, (embroidery, screen printing, and pad printing) on-site at this facility.
There is a 3200 sq ft work area above the office area.
The approximately 12 in-house booths mentioned in the pro-forma are booths that
we will operate ourselves from hand-made in America products that we purchase and re-
sell from our craft sources, and the major craft show in Denver.
Additional notes: The Princeton Party House is being sold to the current lessee.
She has signed a purchase agreement which is attached she is working with Gordy
Winzenberg to secure a 504 S.B.A. loan through the local banks in Princeton. This
activity is advanced and 98% done and secure. Closing is scheduled for June 15, 2006.
$160,000 of the cash for this project will come from the sale of the Princeton Party
House.
1
