Clarification: Mr. Pahl did not ask for a beach or sand blanket; Beth offered it as a compromise.
2. The"hole" in the ice ridge must be restored to a height of 12 inches to support end of dock. Dock will be
moved to this area reducing use area.
3. % inch sewer rock(approximately 1 yard)and larger rocks to be used to create ridge. The width of this
ridge to be 18 inches(1 '/X height). The slope from this ridge must tip toward the house.
4. A seed mix obtained from Landsburg, labeled "Shoreline Restoration Mix"should be applied along entire
shoreline at the rate recommended on the package.
5. A berm, 6 inches high, must be placed along rock on each side of this restoration site. This area must be
planted with the above seed mix 12- 18 inches wide(from rock area berm toward house).
6. Two red-osier dogwoods, gallon size containers, shall be placed toward each end of shoreline(four total
plants).
7. An erosion control blanket shall be placed along the entire shoreline to hold materials in place.
8. All other restoration shall be completed as outlined in the letter dated September 18, 2007 from Beth
Hippert, Crow Wing County SWCD.
Dawn Bittner
Zoning Administrator
City of Pequot Lakes
9/28/2007
