Our recollection is that, for the long term, the City should continue to stay open to some way to
`.• promote connectivity/circulation in this corridor- realizing that it is outside of the City Limits and
would need cooperation with the adjacent Loon Lake Township in Cass County.
If our above recollection is incorrect, we can take this segment out and renumber the remaining
segments - please discuss/consider and advise.
Segments#11. #12, and#14
Segment #14 is definitely a longer-term concept. We will remove this segment and renumber
the remaining segments.
Segment #12 may also be a ways out there. However, our recollection of the discussion is that
there is no east-west corridor south of CSAH 11 and the City should stay open to another east-
west corridor for the southern 4 miles of the City (I believe this would connect to an extension of
Breezy Point's Dove Street). We do not disagree with the concerns about wetlands and
habitats within such a corridor; all of which will need to be further considered and addressed in
future preliminary layout and design phases. If our above recollection is incorrect, we can take
this segment out and renumber the remaining segments - please discuss/consider and advise.
Segment #11 was placed "as far east" as it is to line up with the Nagel Road/Evenson Road
corridor to the north of CSAH 11. We can curve the north part of Segment #13 slightly more to
the east and curve the south part of Segment #11 more to the west to make a consistent north-
south corridor. Or, we can remove Segment #11 altogether and extend Segment #13 north into
Segment #10. We would recommend the former more so than the latter, but please
discuss/consider and advise.
City of Pequot Lakes Staff Report 5_2
January 18,2007
