Moen 329—6t' Street Proctor, MN 55810 Re: City of Pequot Lakes Potential Ordinance Violation PIN: 29106001006AO09 and 29106005AO09 Dear Mr. Moen: It has come to our attention through a complaint that you are likely in violation of the City's Ordinance regarding Maintenance. The Ordinance states, in Section 17-7.4, MAINTENANCE,that "All landscaping shall be properly maintained so as to preserve planning in a live state and free of noxious weeds. " The Ordinance further states, in Section 17-7.6, VISUAL STANDARDS, that "No use shall create, maintain or continue any activity of structure which has a strong negative visual impact. . . " I have been to your property and taken the enclosed picture. If this picture accurately depicts the condition of your property, I would have to find that you are I violation of these provisions of the Ordinance. As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the Ordinance,we would like the opportunity to work with you to correct the situation. We are requesting that by no later than June 29,2008,you mow the grass and maintain a neat yard for the remainder of the season. Failure to comply with the Ordinance by June 29, 2008, will prompt us to take more aggressive action. This would likely include Administrative Fines in the amount of $100.00 per day for each day the violation continues, civil action to obtain a court order \.. directing you to comply with the Ordinance and could potentially include criminal action.
