As <br /> part of the restoration, a maintenance plan was developed and must be followed to <br /> promote re-establishment of the historic ice ridge. Maintenance shall occur as follows: <br /> 1. The shoreline along this property was significantly altered from its original state. <br /> The exposed rock will likely be moved by the ice. Any alteration of this restored <br /> shoreline by ice of other natural causes cannot be restored to the current state. <br /> The only repair allowed would be to the annual ice ridge, which would be <br /> anything disturbed within the top 12 inches. <br /> 2. The dock access area shall be no lower than 12 inches and must be at least 18 <br /> inches in width as measured from the lake toward the cabin. The slope from this <br /> ridge shall be toward the house. The rocks that have been placed in this area were <br /> placed as an attempt to re-establish the historic ice ridge. The only repair allowed <br /> in this dock access area would be the addition of rocks to maintain the 12 inches <br /> in height and the 18 inch width from the lake toward the cabin. <br /> 3. A berm, 6 inches high, must be maintained along the rock on each side of this <br /> dock access area. This berm must be replaced as part of maintenance described in <br /> number 1 above. <br /> 4. A seed mix, Shoreline Restoration Mix, was applied along the entire shoreline at <br /> the rate recommended on the package. The berm referred to in number 3 above, <br /> was planted with this seed mix 12— 18 inches wide (from rock area toward <br /> house). This seed mix will provide a diverse community of long rooted native <br /> grasses, sedges, and forbs acclimated to the area. The deep-rooted vegetation will <br />
