4. Contact our office so that we can schedule a site visit to discuss restoration and a
resolution to this matter.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the Crow Wing Soil and Water
Conservation District are also aware of this activity and are conducting their own
analysis. We anticipate they will share our concerns with what has been done.
As per the City of Pequot Lakes City Code, until this matter is resolved, you are barred
from pulling any Land Use Permits or doing any work requiring City of Pequot Lakes
approval.
Failure to comply with the Ordinance by the above timeline will prompt us to take more
aggressive action. This would likely include administrative fines in the amount of
$100.00 per day for each day the violation continues, civil action to obtain a court order
directing you to comply with the Ordinance and could potentially include criminal action.
You will also be responsible to reimburse the City for any expenses related to the
resolution of this violation.
Please understand our seriousness and commitment to uphold the Ordinances. We hope
you will take this opportunity to work with us and resolve this matter.
Sincerely,
Dawn Bittner
Zoning Administrator
Enc.
C: Planning Commission
Sandy Peine, City Clerk
Jerry Braam, Chief of Police
