Jason Laxen—After-the-Fact Permit:
Bittner explained that Mr. Laxen constructed a small shed without a Land Use Permit.
Mr. Laxen was in attendance. He explained that he is a first time homeowner and did not
realize he needed a permit for something without a permanent foundation. He is planning
a wood floor and blocks. The value of the completed shed would be approximately
$700.00. He stated that he stopped construction of the shed after receiving notification
from the City. If he removed the shed the matter would be resolved. He could then apply
for a permit.
A motion was made by John Derksen, seconded by Bill Habein,to recommend a$50.00
After-the-Fact Permit Fee, based on the following Findings of Fact:
1. Mr. Laxen ceased construction upon notification from City;
2. The structure is 96 sq. ft.;
3. The structure could be removed easily;
4.
