COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO APPROVE SUMMARY <br /> �.- PUBLICATION OF THE SHORELAND CONSERVATION DESIGN <br /> ORDINANCE. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6.2. Design Review Team Policy <br /> Staff report presented by Chuck Marohn. Chuck informed the Council that <br /> the Design Review Team Policy will assist applicants for developments <br /> with the approval process. He indicated that the Planning Commission is <br /> recommending approval of the policy. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO ADOPT THE DESIGN <br /> REVIEW TEAM POLICY. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Malecha indicated the Economic Development <br /> Commission supports the policy. Council Member Ryan stated that he had <br /> a concern regarding the expense to the developer. He stated that he felt <br /> the duties of design review team are the same duties that are performed <br /> by the planning commission. <br /> Chuck Marohn indicated that this is not an approval process. The purpose <br /> is to give feedback to the developer and to facilitate and coordinate the <br /> development process. <br /> Council Members Nagel and Sjoblad stated that the policy would save <br /> money for the developer. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-1. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN OPPOSED. <br /> ➢ New Potential Violations/Enforcement Actions: <br /> With spring and the melting of the snow, several properties have been brought to <br /> my attention that have refuse, debris and/or abandoned vehicles. I plan to give the <br /> property owners a little time after the ground thaws to address these issues before <br /> I send out letters. <br /> April, 2009 Staff Report Page 3 <br />
