� <br />City Council Minutes <br />September 4, 2012 <br />Page 6 of 8 <br />stated that although the quote from Pitney Bowes was slightly higher than <br />the one from Hasler, staff is requesting to continue leasing from Hasler. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ENTER INTO A 36 MONTH <br />LEASE WITH HASLER FOR A POSTAGE MACHINE. COUNCIL <br />MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5- <br />0. <br />11.3. Board and Commission Vacancies <br />The Clerk noted that the City has received resignations from three Board <br />and Commission members: <br />Scott Pederson — Planning Commission — Term expires 12/31/2012 <br />Patrick Smith — EDC — Term expires 12/31/2014 <br />Ed Larsen — EDC — Term expires 12/31/2012 <br />The Clerk noted that she has advertised to accept applications to fill the <br />vacancies and that the applicants will be presented to the Council in <br />October. <br />� COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO ACCEPT THE RESIGNATIONS <br />OF SCOTT PEDERSON FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND <br />PATRICK SMITH AND ED LARSEN FROM THE EDC. COUNCIL <br />MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4- <br />0-1. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON ABSTAINED. <br />11.4. Video Recordina Quotes for Uparade of Existina Video Equipment <br />The Clerk presented finro quotes to upgrade the video recording <br />equipment. <br />• EPA - $13,944.15 <br />• Music General - $7,532.70 <br />Council Member Pederson questioned the number of cable television <br />subscribers in Pequot Lakes. He stated that the number of viewers is <br />probably not very high. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO MAKE NO CHANGES TO <br />THE RECORDING SYSTEM AT THIS TIME. COUNCIL MEMBER <br />PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />� <br />
