The Mayor suggested only including half of the projected LGA. Council MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO HAVE STAFF PREPARE AN ORDINANCE TO REDUCE THE COUNCIL PAY BY $50 PER MONTH. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. The Mayor noted that the Planning Commission's pay was reduced last year and the staff has received minimal increases including a 0% increase. Council Member Ryan questioned the history of the Council wage increase versus the history of City staff wage increase. Council Member Pederson suggested tabling the motion until the Council reviews the entire budget. Council Member Sjoblad stated that city departments have made sacrifices but the Council has not made sacrifices. MOTION CARRIED 3— 2. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN AND COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON OPPOSED. Clerk's budaet — No comments Election Budqet — No comments Sales and Use Tax — No comments Information Technoloqy — This budget shows a net increase is $34,000. Council Member Ryan suggested that costs be allocated to specific departments. Discussion was held regarding the police department sharing computers. The Council questioned whether the City could get a network version of the software rather than individual software for each computer. It was suggested that the number of computers in the police department be evaluated along with the possibility of using the tough books both in the squads and in the office via docking stations. The Clerk noted that part of the IT budget included a document management program with a web portal to allow documents to be placed on the web that would be searchable by the public.
