A motion was made by Tom Adams, seconded by Mark Hallan, to not send forth an Ordinance Amendment proposal to the City Council and to take no action. 6 ayes, 1 nay (Bill Habein). Motion carried. Councilman Nagel would like this matter brought back up at a later date. Chairman Woog closed the Public Hearings. ADDITIONS OR DELETIONS TO AGENDA: None. OPEN FORUM: None. NEW BUSINESS: a. Animal Husbandry, Discussion: Bittner explained the City Clerk is proposing amendments to Chapter 9 of the City Code which would include the number of dogs allowed per household. The definition of Animal Husbandry limits the number to two dogs. At a previous Planning Commission meeting Staff was directed to include the definition of Animal Husbandry on an upcoming Agenda for discussion. The City Clerk would like the Planning Commission to complete their discussion prior to completing her City Code amendments. After discussing what number should be included for either dogs or cats, the Planning Commission agreed to exclude dogs and cats from Animal Husbandry altogether and to have the City deal with the issue as a public nuisance. Staff was directed to bring this back for an Ordinance Amendment and to notify the City Clerk of this recommendation. OLD BUSINESS: None. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A motion was made by Tom Adams, seconded by Mark Hallan,to approve the July 15, 2010 Planning Commission Minutes. All members voted"aye". Motion carried. ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: Bittner pointed out the one Land Use Permit issued and the 22 letters sent or received. The following Potential Violations/Enforcement Actions were discussed. 1.
