Cfty Of Pequot Lies June 2, 2010 Patrick Greer PO Box 1134 Fall City, WA 98204 Re: City of Pequot Lakes Potential City Code Violation PIN: 29103000908AO09 30795 Old Highway 371 Dear Mr. Greer: It has come to our attention through a complaint that you are likely in violation of Pequot Lakes' City Code regarding maintenance. The City Code states in Section 17-7.4 MAINTENANCE that "All structures shall be properly maintained in a clean and acceptable manner so as not to constitute a menace to the public health, safety, convenience, general welfare,property values, and aesthetics. All landscaping shall be properly maintained so as to preserve planting in a live state and free of noxious weeds. " The City Code further states in Section 17-7.6 VISUAL STANDARDS that "No use shall create, maintain or continue any activity or structure which has a strong negative visual impact or offends the morals or violates the standards of the City. " As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the City Code, we would like the opportunity to work with you to correct the situation. We are requesting that by no later than June 12,2010 you mow your grass and maintain a neat yard for the remainder of the season. Failure to comply with the City Code by June 12, 2010 will prompt us to take more aggressive action. This would likely include Administrative Fines in the amount of $100.00 per day for each day the violation continues, civil action to obtain a court order directing you to comply with the City Code and could potentially include criminal action.
