Offsite removable advertising will not be permitted, except garage sale, <br /> construction, City or Chamber of Commerce sponsored events as approved by <br /> E <br /> the Zoning Administrator,or real estate signs. <br /> io. Commercial non-conforming offsite signs shall not be replaced. Residential <br /> offsite signs shall be removed upon the placement of a directional assistance <br /> sign at the same intersection. <br /> ii. New onsite sign will take precedence over offsite signs and will require the <br /> removal of the offsite sign as provided in io above. <br /> 12. All offsite commercial signs shall have a permit renewable every three years <br /> and indicating the consent of the property owner. <br /> a <br /> K. Sign Area Measurement. <br /> 5 1. The area of a sign shall be measured as the square feet enclosed by the <br /> exterior perimeter of a sign not including the structural supports. For cut-out <br /> letter signs, this amount shall be divided in half(1/2) when calculating sign <br /> area. <br /> 2. Only the largest side of a double faced sign or a v-shaped sign with no greater <br /> than a 3o degree angle between faces shall be considered. If the angle <br /> between faces is greater than 3o degrees, the area of both faces shall be <br /> considered. j <br /> & I <br /> L. Temporary Signs. <br /> i. Size and Location. Temporary signs shall be allowed with a permit issued by <br /> the Zoning Administrator in the CBD and HB zoning districts. Such signs <br /> shall be limited to six(6)feet in height and forty(40)square feet in sign area <br /> per face. Temporary signs shall be placed no closer than io feet from any <br /> property line and may be illuminated. No flashing or spinning lights shall be <br /> allowed. <br /> 2. Temporary signs, other than streamers or banners, shall require a permit <br /> issued by the Zoning Administrator. <br /> 3. Any allowed or permitted temporary sign shall not be allowed to utilize a <br /> required parking space <br /> 4. Duration. Temporary signs shall be displayed no more than a total of 6o days <br /> during any calendar year. <br /> 5. Banners, flags and pennants shall be allowed without the need for a permit. <br /> All such banners, flags and pennants shall be maintained in good condition <br /> and shall not create a hazard or nuisance for the general public. <br /> M.
