Section 17-3.2. DEFINITIONS <br /> 4. Accessory Structure. A building or other structure that is supportive, <br /> secondary and subordinate in use and/or size to the principle structure on <br /> �-- the same parcel or lot which, because of the nature of its use, can <br /> reasonably be located at or greater than minimum structure setbacks. <br /> Includes all structures not considered the principle structure including, but <br /> not limited to, T.V. towers antennas, dish antennas, outdoor swimming <br /> pools, outdoor hot-tubs, detached garages, sheds, guest quarters and <br /> boathouses. <br /> 45. Building Height. The vertical distance between the highest adjoining <br /> ground level at the building or ten (10) feet above the lowest ground level, <br /> whichever is lower, and the highest point of a flat roof or average height <br /> between the eaves and the highest ridge of gable, hip or gambrel roofs or <br /> ten feet below the peak, whichever is greater. <br /> 83. Dwelling, Guest Quarters. A structure, not for sale or lease, used as a <br /> dwelling unit that may contain sleeping spaces and kitchen and bathroom <br /> facilities in addition to those provided in the primary dwelling on the lot. <br /> Any accessory structure with kitchen or bathroom facilities shall be <br /> considered a dwelling, guest quarters. <br /> 111. Garage,Detached. An accessory structure not attached to the principle <br /> structure on the property designed and used for storage. <br /> Section 17-5.8 SHORELINE RESIDENTIAL (SR) <br /> Building height,accessory structure-feet,maximum 13 <br /> 4. Performance Standards. The following performance standards apply to all <br /> development in this zone: <br /> A. Guest Quarters. A dwelling guest quarters must meet the <br /> following restrictions: <br /> (1) Shall be located along with the principal structure on the <br /> smallest lot meeting the above requirements. <br /> (2) Shall not cover more than 700 square feet of land and must <br /> not exceed 15 foot height. <br /> (3) Shall be located to reduce its visibility as viewed from <br /> public waters and adjacent shorelands. <br /> (4) Shall be screened from adjacent parcels and public waters <br /> by vegetation, topographical location, increased setback, <br /> color or other methods assuming summer leaf on <br /> conditions. <br /> Pequot Lakes Staff Report 8(a)-2 <br /> May 15,2013 <br />
