Call Meeting to Order %F <br /> Mayor Adams called the special meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council <br /> to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> 1.1. Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Mayor Adams led with the Pledge ©f Allegiance. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> There were no changes to the agenda. <br /> 3. Hearing to Consider Ordering Abatement of City Ordinance Violation <br /> Mayor Adams opened the hearing. Mayor Adams reviewed the process for <br /> the hearing. <br /> Attorney Robert Scott explained that the purpose of the meeting was to <br /> consider declaring conditions existing on Mr. Dahl's property located at <br /> 3952 County Road 17, Pequot Lakes, MN to be a public nuisance. He <br /> explained that this a quasi-judicial function and that the Council will review <br /> evidence presented by City staff and hear from the property owner. The <br /> Council will be asked by staff to pass a resolution making findings of fact <br /> and conclusions and making an order that this property does constitute a <br /> public nuisance and authorizing legal counsel to take legal action <br /> necessary to abate the nuisance, assess the cost to the property owner, <br /> and to proceed with prosecution. <br /> Presentation of Evidence by Dawn Bittner, Zoning Administrator. Property <br /> values near Mr. Dahl have been reduced, resulting in a loss in revenue for <br /> the City. Dawn Bittner distributed recent pictures of the property. At the <br />
