2) Interim use permit- The signage could be allowed as an interim use (e.g. signage <br /> may remain onsite for 9 months) as a "trial." If it is determined the signage ordinance is <br /> not practical,the ordinance could be amended to no longer allow digital signs. <br /> Planning Commission Direction: The Planning Commission can recommend <br /> approval of the ordinance amendment, denial the ordinance amendment, or the request <br /> can be tabled for further review. <br /> The council has allotted two months for the Planning Commission to study the <br /> amendment. If the Planning Commission is comfortable with revised amendment, they <br /> may forward it to the Council. If not, the amendment can be further revised and put on <br /> the agenda as a discussion item next month. <br /> Staff Recommendation: Based on previous discussions and the intent of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan's "Community Character" section, we recommend the application <br /> be denied. <br /> Pequot Lakes Staff Report g(b)_2 <br /> July 17,2014 <br />
