`- C. Council Meeting Notes: The City Council Meeting was held August 5 and an excerpt of the draft Minutes are included: 6.1. Planning Commission Report Report received by Council. 6.2. Ordinance Amendment Regarding Vegetation Removal Justin Burslie explained that the proposed amendment allows intensive vegetation removal in the Open Space, Forest Management, Agricultural, Rural Residential, Recreation, and Light Industrial Zones with a permit. He noted that the Planning Commission recommends approval of the ordinance based on two findings of fact listed in the staff report dated August 5, 2014. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 14-06 AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO VEGETATION REMOVAL. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE SUMMARY PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 14-06. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER `-- SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. 9.1. Recommendation for Dog Park Location Mike Loven explained that the Park Commission has recommended that the Council approve the relocation of the dog park from Sibley Lake Park to the water tower property owned by the City. The recommendation to move the park is due to the inadequate space at Sibley Lake Park. MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO RECONSIDER THE VOTE ON DECEMBER 3, 2013 RELATING TO THE DOG PARK. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO LOCATE THE DOG PARK AT THE WATER TOWER PROPERTY AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PARK COMMISSION. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. 9.3. Consider Quotes for North Washington Avenue Street Lights Tim Houle explained that he received two quotes for the North Washington Avenue Street Lights.
