`- C. Council Meeting Notes: <br /> The City Council Meeting was held August 5 and an excerpt of the draft <br /> Minutes are included: <br /> 6.1. Planning Commission Report <br /> Report received by Council. <br /> 6.2. Ordinance Amendment Regarding Vegetation Removal <br /> Justin Burslie explained that the proposed amendment allows intensive <br /> vegetation removal in the Open Space, Forest Management, Agricultural, <br /> Rural Residential, Recreation, and Light Industrial Zones with a permit. He <br /> noted that the Planning Commission recommends approval of the ordinance <br /> based on two findings of fact listed in the staff report dated August 5, 2014. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 14-06 <br /> AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO <br /> VEGETATION REMOVAL. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE SUMMARY <br /> PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 14-06. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER <br /> `-- SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 9.1. Recommendation for Dog Park Location <br /> Mike Loven explained that the Park Commission has recommended that the <br /> Council approve the relocation of the dog park from Sibley Lake Park to the <br /> water tower property owned by the City. The recommendation to move the <br /> park is due to the inadequate space at Sibley Lake Park. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO RECONSIDER THE VOTE ON DECEMBER <br /> 3, 2013 RELATING TO THE DOG PARK. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO LOCATE THE DOG PARK <br /> AT THE WATER TOWER PROPERTY AS RECOMMENDED BY THE <br /> PARK COMMISSION. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 9.3. Consider Quotes for North Washington Avenue Street Lights <br /> Tim Houle explained that he received two quotes for the North Washington <br /> Avenue Street Lights.
