� Park Board Minutes March 8, 2012 Page 2 The Commissioners reviewed the Breezy Point master park plan. The Commissions also reviewed the information provided by the City of Nisswa for the Nisswa parks. The Park Commission felt it would be a good start to take an inventory of each of the City Parks and then evaluate the parks to see what is needed at each location to ensure that the parks and trails are utilized to the fullest and to note what could be added to the park system and individual parks in the future. 6. Recvclinq Containers for the Park Mike Loven stated that there are funds remaining "from the SCORE grant to be used toward recycling. He suggested that the Park Commission consider adding a few recycling containers at Trailside Park. It was the consensus to have the Park Commission look at what is available for recycling containers and to place them by the band shell and�picnic shelter next to the garbage containers. 7. Other Business Park Brochures — The Commissioners reviewed a proof of the park �-' brochure provided by Scott Pede�rson. Suggestions include: ➢ Add a photo of Gildner and Trailside North Parks. ➢ Other photos cbuld include:the picnic shelter, veteran's memorial, and band shell at Trailside Park. ➢ Park S'izes. ➢ Photo of Charriber:"�iuilding lis�ing public restrooms. ➢ Oid. Hwy 371 north of C.R: 11 is now County Road 112 The Clerk explained that:#here were not many recent photos to use at this time, but that the City will be working to acquire more photos for future year:brochures. Discussiotl;was held regarding the issue of no public restrooms on the east side ofi:#own. It was noted that there is a need to have some type of public restroom facilities in this area. Adopt a Garden — The Mayor placed an article in the Echo requesting volunteers to help maintain the gardens on the north side of Trailside Park. Cathy Malecha, Karen Ettesvold and Mayor Adams will inventory the gardens that require attending and make a list of the gardens. �- The Commission indicated that park tours should begin in April, weather permitting.
