City Council Minutes <br /> December 6, 2011 <br /> Page 9 <br /> longer require recordkeeping of business use of an employer-provided cell <br /> phone in order to receive this tax-free treatment as long as the phone is <br /> issued and used primarily for business reasons. <br /> The Clerk also noted that prior to this ruling, a city-issued cell phone used <br /> for any type of personal use would be taxed. In addition to that, employers <br /> were required to keep extensive records to show which calls were <br /> business related and which were personal (i.e. this is considered listed <br /> property). <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO ADOPT THE REVISED <br /> CELL PHONE POLICY. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 11.1.B.Consider Amendment to Criminal Investigation Funds Policy <br /> The Clerk requested the Council to amend the Criminal Investigation Fund <br /> Policy to reconcile the funds quarterly rather than monthly. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO AMEND THE CRIMINAL <br /> INVESTIGATION FUNDS POLICY ALLOWING THE FUND TO BE <br /> BALANCED QUARTERLY. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 11.2. Council Meeting Playback Update <br /> The Clerk reported that training on the video recording and transferring <br /> data will take place soon. She noted that this evening the meeting is being <br /> video taped as a trial. Dan from Music General will be present a January's <br /> Council meeting to replay a portion of the meeting and to answer any <br /> questions the Council might have. <br /> 11.2B.Invoice Payment to Music General <br /> The Clerk requested the Council to pay an invoice submitted by Music <br /> General in the amount of$1,814.44. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO APPROVE PAYMENT TO <br /> MUSIC GENERAL. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 11.3. Bobber Tower Electric Bill <br />
