City Council Minutes <br /> December 6, 2011 <br /> Page 6 <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE: AKERSON — NAY; MALECHA—AYE; RYAN — <br /> NAY; SJOBLAD —AYE; ADAMS —AYE. THE MOTION FAILED 3-2. <br /> 7. Fire Department <br /> Report received by Council. <br /> 7.1. Consider Request by Fire Board for Partial Refund of Fire Contract to <br /> Breezy Point due to Market Value Reduction <br /> The Fire Chief explained that Fire Board is recommending that the City of <br /> Breezy Point receive a one-time credit in their fire contract due to the <br /> devaluation of the market value of the Breezy Point Resort. The amount <br /> that the Fire Board is recommending to credit is $1,875.95. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ISSUE A ONE-TIME FIRE <br /> CONTRACT CREDIT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,875.95 TO THE CITY OF <br /> BREEZY POINT DUE TO DEVALUATION IN THE MARKET VALUE OF <br /> THE BREEZY POINT RESORT. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Ryan had questions relating to the formula that was used <br /> to determine how the money would be paid back to Breezy Point. Nancy <br /> Malecha noted that she would review the formula. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO AMEND THE MOTION TO <br /> CLARIFY THAT THE CITY'S PORTION OF THE REFUND COMES OUT <br /> OF THE FIRE CONTRACT PORTION OF THE GENERAL FUND. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br /> AMENDMENT CARRIED 5-0. <br /> THE MOTION AS AMENDED CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 8. Police Department <br /> Police report received by Council. <br /> 8.1. Resolution Adopting the Crow Wing County All-Hazard Mitigation Plan <br /> Chief Kiang requested the Council to adopt a resolution which adopts the <br /> Crow Wing County All-Hazard Mitigation Plan. <br />
