RESOLUTION 11-19 ACCEPTING CONTRIBUTIONS AND/OR <br /> GRANTS FROM SEPTEMBER 26, 2011, THROUGH OCTOBER <br /> 20, 2011 <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 4. Open Forum <br /> No one present for open forum. <br /> 5.1. Proclamation Proclaiming November 10th as Pequot Lakes Bobber Day <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ADOPT A <br /> PROCLAMATION PROCLAIMING NOVEMBER 10TH AS PEQUOT <br /> LAKES BOBBER DAY. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 5.1B. Bobber Water Tower Donation <br /> The City Clerk informed the Council the Chamber of Commerce is <br /> attempting to raise $1,500 to complete the lighting of the water tower <br /> project. She questioned whether the Council wanted to consider a <br /> donation toward this project. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO DONATE $500 TOWARD THE <br /> RELIGHTING OF THE WATER TOWER WITH FUNDS FROM THE <br /> BOBBER WATER TOWER FUND. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 5.2. Presentation from Sheila Haverkamp of BLAEDC <br /> Sheila Haverkamp gave a recap of BLAEDC services. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO RENEW THE AGREEMENT <br /> FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br /> PEQUOT LAKES AND THE BRAINERD LAKES AREA ECONOMIC <br /> DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2012. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Ryan questioned how BLAEDC assists existing <br /> businesses. Sheila explained that retention and expansion are one of <br /> BLAEDC's highest priorities. <br />
