76. Dog House. Dog house shall mean a dog house as defined in Minn. Stat. §343.40, <br /> as amended. <br /> Section 9-2.2. POSITION OF ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER <br /> The position of Animal Control Officer is hereby established and the Chief of Police or designee <br /> shall serve as the Animal Control Officer. He or she shall be appointe the City Council. <br /> Nothing contained herein shall prevent the City Council from contractinith a person to <br /> provide such services. IMPOUNDING OF DOGS RUNNING AT LARGE <br /> The designated Animal Control Officer may take possession of up-and4mpeund any dog found <br /> running at large within the City of Pequot Lakes. Upon taking possession of any such dog, the <br /> designated Animal Control Officer shall make reasonable attempts to notify the dog's owner, and <br /> if the dog has the identification required by Section 9-2.7 showing proof of the rabies vaccination <br /> required by Section 9-2.12, the designated Animal Control Officer may return the dog to its <br /> owner.
