Project Deliverables <br />Upon completion, the City will have: <br />1. Report outlining rate - setting options for the City to consider, recommendations and related <br />appendices and; <br />2. Source data in the form of excel spreadsheets. <br />When the project is completed, all deliverables will be provided in electronic format whenever <br />possible so that if the City chooses, it can update projections and spreadsheets internally in future <br />years. <br />Project Cost <br />Ehlers will perform the Utility Rate Analysis for a not -to- exceed cost or $12,000. The scope of work <br />includes analysis in order to bring the City's current rate structure into compliance with DNR <br />mandate. The project will be billed hourly, for actual hours worked, and the final cost may be less. The <br />not -to- exceed cost breakdown is as follow: <br />$8,000 for water utility <br />$4,000 for sewer utility <br />The City could choose to reduce the fees by the following options: <br />• Elimination of city council meetings /work sessions - $1,000 <br />• Elimination of rate comparison to comparable communities - $1,000 <br />The not -to- exceed contract amount will include the deliverables, copies required by the City for the <br />draft and final report, a preliminary estimate of two meetings with City Staff and one presentation to <br />Council, and all travel and incidentals. Additional work, if requested by the City, will be performed at <br />the hourly rate of $190. <br />Ehlers will invoice monthly for work completed in the prior month. If, upon opening the invoice, the <br />City feels that it did not receive value equal to or greater than the amount of the invoice, call us.
