At the June Council Meeting Council Member Akerson
was uncomfortable with the 15-day time to file an appeal
and this amendment was sent back to the Planning
Commission for review and consider the possibility of
more time needed for the appeal process.
The Planning Commission discussed the time to file an
appeal and have the appeal heard. Council Member
Loukota suggested adding "express your intent to appeal
within the 15-day window"; Council Member Akerson was
comfortable with that language.
Staff inserted the language indicated in red lettering.
Please note the Planning Commission did state that appeals
need to come back to the Planning Commission the
following month.
Council Action Requested:
1. Council motion adopting the attached ordinance
amendment regarding the appeal timeframe.
2. Council motion authorizing summary publication.
