PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING MINITES
6/26/2015
Members Present: Sandy Peine, City Clerk; Mayor Dave Sjoblad; Council
Member Scott Pederson
1) Job Description Amendments
Sandy Peine presented amended job descriptions for the following positions:
• City Administrator (new job description)
• Administrative Finance Assistant/Deputy City Clerk
• Zoning Administrator/Administrative Specialist
• Finance Administrator/ City Clerk Treasurer
She explained that the changes to the job descriptions were required due to the
addition of an Administrator and because of the reorganization of the Clerk's
Office. The Clerk's will now be called the Administration Office.
Peine explained that the Job Evaluation Committee reviews the job points for the
positions on new or revised job description. The Committee then recommends
job points for each position. The job points are associated with job duties and
used to determine the pay scale for the position. Peine stated that she has done
the research using the State Job Match for each of the position and has issued
tentative points for the Personnel Committee to review. She reminded the
Committee that the JEC will meet to review the recommended job points.
The Personnel Committee reviewed the job descriptions and job points. Peine
recommended that the 3 new positions (other than the administrator) be given
wage increases upon her retirement. The positions would then be eligible for
another increase at the first of the year to be consistent with all other City
employees.
