He suggests that Ms. <br /> Hauram reach out to Breezy Point's Council Members regarding the issue. <br /> Council Member Clement adds to the transportation topic that Inter Faith Care <br /> Givers is an option to investigate that might be able to assist. <br /> 5. Presentations <br /> 5.1.1 Park Update <br /> David Lind is present to give a verbal update on the Park Board. He says they <br /> have been trying to drum up interest in a community garden. They will be placed <br /> near the dog park. He states he has been working with Public Works and they <br /> are to be putting in a few small plots as a trial run for this year. <br /> Bands in the Park are all set for the season. Mr. Lind says they need to thank <br /> Julie for her assistance in getting that completed. The posters will be going out <br /> around town soon. <br /> Mr. Lind says they have not received any additional funding for the holiday lights <br /> aside from the match from Community Action. <br /> Regarding the Tree Study Grant, Emerald Ash Bore has been discovered in <br /> Brainerd, MN, recently. We are trying to move quickly on this. We have Keith on <br /> board with us, who used to work in the forestry. We will be meeting at Sibley <br /> Park for our next meeting to walk through there and figure out what we need to <br /> do. <br /> The new community sign will be closer to August before it is fully functional. We <br /> are hoping to start the construction of the project after Bean Hole Days. <br /> Mr. Lind says there are two more splash pad features that are set to be installed <br /> around May. He said they thank the Council for hosting a special meeting to keep <br /> everything moving to approve the planning for the bathrooms and pavilion. <br /> Council Member Pederson inquiries about whether there will be more pavers <br /> offered this year. Jenny Gonczy is present and states they do not plan to offer <br /> more pavers this year. It was costly and labor intensive. <br /> 5.1A Tree Inventory Bid <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LARSON MOVES TO APPROVE THE CARR'S TREE <br /> SERVICE BID OF $5,000 TO BE REMIMBURSED WITH THE RELEAF GRANT <br /> WHEN THE PROJECT IS COMPLETED, COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIES 5-0. <br /> 5.2 EDC Update <br />
